Single Classes & Workshops
For conventions and clubs I generally conduct demonstrations, lectures and workshops on a wide range of topics and species. Depending on the time available to me, I can offer programs which combine PowerPoint lectures in conjunction with workshops and demonstrations. Contact me for a detailed list of lecture/PowerPoint programs offered.
Fees:
The cost for 2–3 hour (half day) demos, programs and workshop sessions are $300. Full-day (6 hour) programs and workshop sessions are $600. The host club or organization covers all transportation costs, lodging and meals.
Ongoing Study Groups
I currently offer ongoing study groups that meet one to three times a year, depending on the needs of the group. These groups can focus on an individual species or whatever species group members may choose to bring. Study Groups are limited to a maximum of 10 participants.
Collection Management
I am available to manage private bonsai collections and provide services, including repotting, styling and designing, refinement, and health assessments on a quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis.

Bonsai Design:
Bald Cypresses
This comprehensive work thoroughly explains the six major growth patterns of immature and mature bald cypresses. Each growth pattern is discussed in detail with explanations on how to recreate those designs in bonsai, along with color photographs depicting the patterns of trees in nature as well as in bonsai design. In addition to the technical analysis of how to cultivate, design and grow bald, pond, and Montezuma cypresses, there are developmental photos of specific trees as well as a gallery section of photos for each type of bald cypress.
